Pittsburgh Moms Blog recently Hosted a Daytime Playdate for Our Contributors, Readers and our Kiddos at Painting With A Twist (West, Robinson) (PWAT).
We started the morning off with a catered breakfast from Kings Family Restaurant. They supplied us with their Famous Frownies (Brownies), as well as a yogurt parfait bar, coffee cake slices, goldfish shaped cookies and hot coffee. All kinds of yumminess enjoyed by everyone in attendance.
And how about that attendance? We had a full house with 50 painters. It was amazing to see so many different ages enjoying the outing. From babies in carriers to teenagers, kids of all ages were eager to paint.
Soon enough it was time to paint! Young children made masterpieces with help from their adults, and older kids had a great time customizing their own unique, rainbow zebra. Both kids and adults showed off their artistic skills, although I think that my kid’s favorite part was drying her painting with the hair dryer. Everyone from dads to grandmothers to the littlest painter had a wonderful time.
The Pencil Grip supplied a Kwik Stix paint sample gift for each child that painted and also 3 door prizes. Kwik Stix packs are available at Books a Million.
