Welcome to Pittsburgh “AMERICAN GIRL”

GRAND OPENING WEEKEND!

September 17 and 18, 2016

Strength, Sharing, Empathy, and Bravery are just some of the characteristics that we as moms strive to have our daughters grow up possessing. After having the opportunity to meet with American Girl and walk through this holiday seasons pop-up store I’ve come to learn that American Girl is more than just a doll store. As you walk through their store located in Ross Park Mall you can’t but be amazed at the significant selection of dolls for every age.

If you have been thinking about joining American Girl at some point during their Grand Opening weekend then here is what you need to know…

1. In order to ensure the enjoyment and safety of our customers, tickets are required for entry into the store during grand-opening weekend. If we reach capacity for the day, no more entrance tickets will be distributed.

2. Beginning one hour before store opening (9:00 am) on Saturday and Sunday, American Girl will distribute entrance tickets for that day. Entrance tickets can be obtained near our store entrance and are valid only on the day they’re issued. Once you have your entrance ticket enjoy you can head over to the craft, grab a bite to eat or check out the other stores of the mall until your group is up to enter the store.

3. Entrance tickets for Saturday will only be good for Saturday, same for Sunday.

4. Each child that visits American Girl will receive a complimentary gift, while supplies last.

5. American Girl will be hosting a craft, while supplies last. The craft will be located in the lobby area in front of Sears.

6. American Girl will be hosting a drawing for a free Lea Clark Girl of the Year doll and book. There will be one giveaway on Saturday and one giveaway on Sunday. Customers do not need to be present to win.

7. The closest mall entrance to American Girl is Entrance 4, located Upper Level between Nordstrom and Sears.

American Girl Play StationsTwo additional fun features of the store are 1) The “Play Moment” areas they have set up for kids to get down and dirty with all American Girl has to offer. The FUN play pattern that is designed throughout the store will have your little ones so into imaginative play, they will not want to leave. 2) The Doll Hair Salon, if you or your daughter already own an American Girl doll then be sure to make an appointment for a 10 minute style. This fantastic feature allows young girls to feel the bond and connection with their doll through these real life scenarios!

WellieWishers

American Girl’s WellieWishers™ line for girls 5 to 7 features five fun-loving characters—Willa, Kendall, Ashlyn, Emerson, and Camille—who imagine and play in a whimsical backyard garden while learning timeless life lessons on empathy, kindness, and the importance of being a good friend.

The WellieWishers’ adventures come to life for young girls via American Girl’s first-ever animated series. Each episode follows the five characters’ fun-filled exploits as they navigate the ins and outs of friendship in Aunt Miranda’s garden through a vibrant combination of play, songs, and imagination.

BeForever

BeForever™ is a line of dolls and books that connects girls age 8 and up with inspiring characters and timeless, compelling stories. First introduced in 1986 as The American Girls Collection™, the line gives girls today the opportunity to explore the past, find their place in the present, and think about the possibilities their future can bring. At the same time, the BeForever characters help girls see the common threads—the shared interests, the shared challenges, and the shared dreams—that tie children from all times together.

Each character’s classic story is told in an engaging two-volume series that brings her era to life for young readers and focuses on such universal themes as family, school, cultural celebrations, and the inevitable changes and challenges every girl faces as she grows up. From a daring Native American girl living in the Northwest in 1764 to an optimistic girl growing up in San Francisco in the mid-1970s, the BeForever characters illustrate lasting lessons of hope and determination, and the enduring power of being true to yourself.

Truely Me

American Girl’s Truly Me™ line features contemporary 18-inch dolls, accessories, Dress Like Your Doll™ clothing, and exclusive play-based digital content that promote shared connections between girls ages 8 and up and their Truly Me companions.

Introduced in 2001, the Girl of the Year line gives voice to a diverse range of personalities and backgrounds through inspiring, relatable characters that instill a sense of pride in girls and show them there is no limit to what they can accomplish. And, with its universally appealing story themes that address issues and concerns of girls today, the Girl of the Year line empowers girls to feel connected and gives them the confidence to take action and make a difference.
