4 Cool Cities Within 6 Hours of Pittsburgh

We love road trips. And we love cities. And one of the great things about Pittsburgh is that we are close to a lot of major cities. Here are four of our favorite cities to visit, all within six hours of Pittsburgh! And because this is a mom blog, after all, and we’re no longer sippie-cup-free-twenty-somethings, I’ve also included some of our favorite kid-friendly things to do in each city. And one more tip for all you crowd-haters. Plan your trip for early September, when school is back in session and field trips haven’t started yet – big city, small crowds. Perfect.

Great list. It’s amazing how many cool cities are within a driving distance from Pittsburgh. Philly, Columbus, Cleveland, Detroit. Each with their own unique character and charm.
