Spring has Sprung! And that means hippity hoppity Easter is on it’s way!

There is no greater spring pastime than a good ole’ fashion Easter Egg Hunt. Almost every neighborhood in the Pittsburgh area holds some type of event to honor everyone’s favorite Bunny! Crafts, games, food and more can be had at these special events. Check the guide below for an event near you!

Shenot’s Farm
Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday April 15th

Shenot’s Farm is excited to present their first ever Easter Egg Hunt this Spring! Enjoy a special appearance by the Easter Bunny along with face painting, contests and prizes! The Easter Egg Hunt is free of charge, but registration is required! Please register by calling 724-935-2542 or by stopping in the market.

Settler’s Ridge
Easter Egg Hunt

This year’s Easter Egg Hunt will take place in the plaza between Panera Bread and Barnes and Noble. The event is geared toward children 0-10, with designated egg hunting times specific to ages. This is a nice added touch that allows the kids to safely and fairly hunt eggs with children of the same size! The event is free and does not require registration. Along with the an Easter Egg Hunt they will also have face painting, bounce houses, games, and a visit from the Easter Bunny. See below for the specific times for each age group:

Ages 1-3 11:00 am to 11:45am
Ages 4-6 12:00pm to 12:45pm
Ages 7-10 1:00pm to 1:45pm

South Fayette Township
Easter Egg Drop
April 8th

This is the first annual Easter Egg Drop event. It uniquely features a real life helicopter that will drop more than 2500 eggs filled with candy and prizes into Fairview Park. The egg drop will take place at 11am. There will also be other featured activities including a petting zoo, DJ, face painting, and bounce house. Of course you can expect a special visit from the Easter Bunny as well, you can even grab a photo with him!
In collaboration with the Easter Egg Drop, the South Fayette High School is featuring a Pancake Breakfast from 9am to 11am. A $5 donation is asked for the breakfast.

South Baldwin Volunteer Fire Department
Easter Breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt

South Baldwin Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a family friendly breakfast and Easter Egg hunt. Enjoy those fun activities plus a chance to ride on the fire trucks! Reservations are not required. The event is free but donations will be accepted.

Trax Farm
Breakfast or Lunch with the Easter Bunny

Trax Farm is hosting it’s annual Easter activity fun again this year. Choose between sharing breakfast or lunch with the Easter Bunny himself. While enjoying your yummy meal, kids can also decorate cookies and enter in the coloring contest. Trax has chosen to not have any outdoor Easter egg hunt or other activities this year due to unpredictable weather. Registration is required by calling 412-835-3246. Cost is $9 per child.

Kid’s Egg Hunt with Special Doggie Egg Hunt
April 7th 6:30pm

This is truly an event for the entire family! Your special doggie family members are invited to come and hunt for doggie treat filled eggs of their own. At 7:30pm enjoy special egg hunts by age groups for the kiddos as well! Refreshments and photos with the Easter Bunny included. Pre-registration is required for the children’s egg hunts. You can do so by emailing the Murrysville Recreation Department at [email protected] or calling 724-327-2100 ext. 131

Breakfast or Lunch with the Easter Bunny

9:30am to 11am or 12pm to 1:30pm

Enjoy visiting with the animals while enjoying Easter crafts, an egg hunt and great food! Also, get your picture with the Easter Bunny! Registration is required and can be done online. Cost is $25 for non-zoo members, $20 for zoo members, children under 24 months are $7.
