Plant a flower for a senior, make quilt squares for homeless veterans, donate a children’s book, create a literacy kit for underpriveleged children, meet first responders, and sign up for future volunteer opportunities. Music and dancing, storytime with Daniel Tiger, and many more activities will make this event a “grr-ific” family time!
Zoo Hop into Spring at the Pittsburgh Zoo: March 18
Are you ready to hop into spring? Children will receive a Bird ID coloring book, learn about local springtime birds around the zoo, and make a bird feeder to take home. Get a little spring in your step as your family enjoys fun crafts, face painting, an early sighting of the Easter Bunny, and zoo storytime all at Zoo Hop.
Flamingo Fest at The Aviary: March 18 & 19
Roll up your sleeves and feed the flamingo flock at this fun fest. Meet the flamingos, play games, make crafts and rediscover everyone’s favorite pink feathered friends!
