Have a Musical Day at Kathy’s Music

Bono said, “Music can change the world because it can change people.” I’m excited for my little world changer and I’m grateful to Kathy’s Music for getting us started with a great foundation.

I just love how Kathy Morrison of Kathy’s Music concludes her voicemail greeting…”Have a musical day!” We played a lot of phone tag, it’s true, trying to set everything up. She was never impatient and always gracious as she dealt with this busy mama. I’m truly grateful for the experience we had at Kathy’s Music (http://kathysmusic.com/). I highly recommend her and her staff to you.

Kathy’s Music has been serving the Pittsburgh area for over ten years and is the second largest Kindermusik studio in the country. I found it incredible that I felt like her only customer, knowing how successful and busy she is!

My seven year old Zoey chose to take private violin lessons this summer. In our first conversation, Kathy thoroughly outlined the simple process of renting a violin at Resonance Violins in Mt. Lebanon with special attention to detail concerning the cost and lining up the dates of our lessons within the given month with the time frame of the rental; so thoughtful and courteous!

The professionals at Resonance Violins were efficient and knowledgeable. Zoey was quickly fitted for her violin and excitement was building each day leading up to her lessons!

Kathy listened intuitively as I described Zoey’s likes and dislikes and then connected us with Zoey’s teacher, Abbey Hartman (http://kathysmusic.com/about/meet-the-teachers/abbey-hartman/). Abbey was a perfect match for my quirky perfectionist.

She promptly emailed me with the plan for class times with details about the location of classes and contact information. All of my communication with Abbey was effortless. She responded to emails, text messages and phone calls quickly and addressed all of my concerns and helped me reschedule a lesson when another sibling got sick the morning of our lesson!

All of the information we needed to practice during the week in between lessons was organized in a folder and the expectation for daily practice was clear.

Kathy’s Music is accepting enrollment for the fall and an easy online enrollment tool is available upon request to get your little musician started. Options for group and private lessons are offered in Mt. Lebanon, McMurray, Robinson and the Squirrel Hill Satellite Location at the Jewish Community Center.

The Music Artistry program creates a personalized music learning experience with the best fit for each student and allows them to choose from piano, voice, guitar & ukulele, string, brass and woodwinds. Kindermusik classes are broken down by age group: baby, toddler, preschooler, big kids and there is also a class offering for families. There is a music education program that’s right for everyone with 25 teachers waiting to share their love for kids and the joy of music with you and your young ones. More specific detail about class offerings can be found here http://kathysmusic.com/offerings/all-offerings/.
